Privacy. What is kept, and why.
Your email if you subscribe, and analytics and advertising data only if you agree to cookies.
Who is responsible
adelamincea.com is operated by DATAFEELS SRL (CUI 49159328, J13/3868/2023), Str. Bucovinei 54, Eforie Nord, Constanța, 905350, Romania. Questions about your data: adela@dafe.ro.
What is collected and why
When you subscribe to The Marketing Economist, your email address is used to send you the newsletter, about once a month. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email, or by writing to the address above.
If you accept cookies, the site also measures visits and reading (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) and advertising results (Meta Pixel, Google). The legal basis is again your consent, which you can change any time under Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. The list is in Cookies.
Who processes it
- Kit (ConvertKit) stores the subscriber list and sends the emails. Kit is based in the United States; transfers rely on the safeguards in its data processing terms.
- Google (Analytics, Tag Manager), Microsoft (Clarity) and Meta (Pixel), only with your consent. They may process data in the United States under their own data transfer safeguards.
- Meta(Conversions API), only if you accepted advertising cookies: when you subscribe, this site's server tells Meta that a signup happened, with your email address in hashed form (scrambled so it cannot be read), your IP address, browser details and Meta's cookie IDs. It is used to measure signups from advertising, and it is not sent at all if you declined.
- Cloudflare hosts the site, runs Turnstile (a check that the signup form is used by a person and not a bot) and counts visits with Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and produces only totals.
How long
Your email address is kept until you unsubscribe or ask for it to be deleted. Cookie lifetimes are listed in Cookies.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to its use. If you think it has been handled wrongly, you can complain to the Romanian data protection authority, ANSPDCP.
